Douglas M. Pine dedicated his practice to representing the needs of adoptive families.

Mr. Pine testified before the New Jersey State Legislature Assembly Judiciary Committee. He was a regular speaker for New Jersey Foster and Adoptive Family Services, was President of the Board of Hudson County CASA and was a Trustee on the Board of CASA of New Jersey, was a panelist at the 13th Annual Harvest of Hope Adoption Symposium, he spoke before foster parents at Children's Aid and Family Services, Inc. and was a volunteer attorney for the Essex County Section of the National Council of Jewish Women.

Mr. Pine joined forces with Lauri R. Steinberg and together they founded Pine & Steinberg, LLC. Pine & Steinberg, LLC handles all types of adoptions including co-parent adoptions, step-parent adoptions, New Jersey foster care adoptions, New York foster care adoptions, re-adoptions of children adopted outside of the United States and adult adoptions. Their clients include married couples, single men and women, and same-sex couples.

Mr. Pine earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University in Madison, New Jersey and a Juris Doctorate from Yeshiva University, Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in New York City.
